Kara Seger has been professionally pet sitting since 2000. She has a passion for caring for all animals. She has cared for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, fish, reptiles, chickens, ducks, and horses! She has a great deal of experience with special needs pets, including diabetics and geriatric pets. While growing up in Connecticut and Virginia, Kara's family shared their lives with dogs and guinea pigs (her dad and sister were allergic to cats, much to Kara's dismay!).
Kara moved to Wisconsin in June 2007, along with her husband, Eric. Prior to that she was providing care to pets in Northern Virginia. Kara and Eric welcomed their first child in September 2010. He is an absolute joy and they are having a blast with this new little creature!
They also have a 9 year old cat named Nia. She was a feral kitten living in a sewer when Kara rescued her. Nia is a little spitfire that is often getting into trouble! Their beloved cat Kali passed away in September 2010.
Kara taught obedience training using positive reinforcement methods while working part time for C&C Pals in Virginia. She is always happy to share tips and tricks to help create a happy home for you and your pet.
When not caring for pets she enjoys reading, photography, nature, drawing, crafts, cooking, movies, going to festivals, and spending time with her family.
